I was born and raised in Dhaka. Dhaka is a city with a lot of history and is very rich in culture. It is also highly dynamic, which has really shaped the way I think about life. At that time, Dhaka was a center for administration, commerce, and crafts. It became famous around the world for its muslin, which is an extremely fine fabric. This fabric was exported to countries in Asia, the Middle East, and Europe. This period in Dhaka’s history had a lasting impact on the city, and many historical landmarks still reflect its heritage today.
Dhaka is very important to Bangladesh. The city was at the center of the Language Movement in 1952. During this time, students bravely protested to defend the Bengali language.
